Growing up in Pakistan, I had grown up with currency that had different places on it, but there was one place in particular that I was always interested in, the ruins of Mohenjodaro. I had always read about them in school books, and seen them on the back of a 20 Rupee Note, but never in person. When finally in 2015 I went to the ruins, I asked the tour guide to take me to the exact spot the picture was taken as on the Rs. 20 Note. I took a picture of the note with the right background and that was the start of The Currency Project! After sharing pictures from there, I made it a mission to go all over Pakistan and the rest of the world, taking pictures of currencies around the world and the monuments and places on them! It has been 4 years since I've been doing this project, having visited 5 countries, and taken more than 20 pictures, with many more to come!
