Old 1 Dollar Note & Parliament Hill

I went on a day trip to Ottawa with a couple of friends on a beautiful, clear, but extremely cold day in December 2019, with a couple of dollar coins and old $1 notes. We aimed to visit the Parliament building, the Peacekeeping Monument and War Memorial, as well as other places in Ottawa, and it ended up being a wonderful road trip for all of us! This picture was actually taking outside of Ottawa in Gatineau, from the back of the Canadian National History Museum since that provided a wonderful vantage point to see the Parliament Building. I had to take this picture (and others in Ottawa) quickly in order to avoid frostbite, since the weather outside felt close to -20C!
