1 Quetzal Note & Banco de Guatemala

I took this and the Museo de Arte Colonial picture during a trip to Guatemala in 2024. An amazing amazing trip and really saw tons that Guatemala had to offer, from the Sumpango Kite Festival to Volcan Fuego to Lake Atitlan, so diverse it felt like I’m visiting multiple different countries. Such an amazing place to visit, with awesome people, food, and things to do. This specific picture is super interesting because I wasn’t able to find the 1 Quetzal note my first time in Guatemala City, but then I went to exchange money in Antigua and met Jack, a very kind owner of an exchange who gave me the note for free and we also spoke about the whole currency project! I was then able to go back and take this picture before my flight from Guatemala City. Thank you so much Jack!
