10 Dollar Note & Canadian Museum for Human Rights

When Canada unveiled the new $10 note, and it was one of the few current notes that had a location on them, I knew I had to go to Winnipeg. I just did not know when or how. I finally got time and found a very cheap flight in November 2019, when I made a plan with a friend to go for a quick one day trip to Winnipeg, going there on a Saturday evening and returning on Sunday night. The trip started wonderfully, we arrived in Winnipeg and had dinner and saw a bit of downtown Winnipeg, before starting the next day with going to the museum. Initially I took a picture of the museum from its main parking lot, which I later realized was the wrong angle. After visiting the museum, a wonderful work of architecture with a great design and inspiring stories within it, I went and took pictures from the correct angle on the other side! That is the picture you can see here.

The trip was perfect until we had to fly back to Ontario, when a snowstorm (classic) ended up cancelling our flight! We ended up staying two extra days, but tried to make the most out of it. We drove up to Gimli and then went to Saskatchewan just to be able to say we’ve been there and drove back, and the following day we visited the Mint before flying back in the afternoon after a wonderful weekend and two days!
