10 Rial Note & Mutrah Fort

I had a 15 layover in Oman when I was going from Islamabad to Toronto, which unfortunately became a 12 hour layover thanks to a technical issue with the plane, but at least they were kind enough to give an upgrade to business class! When I was getting Omani notes, I realized how strong the Omani Rial is, with 1 OMR equal to about $2.6 USD! I went to Mutrah in the evening, a wonderful touristy area with the fort, a lot of amazing ethnic restaurants and souvenir shops as well. This was where I took this picture, on a very busy sidewalk, and had to use the note to hide people behind it.
