20 Rupee Note & Mohenjodaro

This was the first picture in the currency project and where it all started, which is why this is the most crumpled up note in the series. I didn’t even know the currency project existed when I took this picture! I went on a road trip with my family to Mohenjodaro, and had an old 20 rupee note in my pocket. I asked the tour guide where the picture on the 20 rupee note was taken, since I knew from history textbooks that the 20 rupee note had Mohenjodaro on it. He took me to that spot and I took a picture with the note, and this is where the currency project was born.
