200 Pound Note & Mosque of Qanibay al-Rammah

This picture was taken on a 2 day layover in Cairo, along with the pictures of several mosques in Cairo (Mosque of Muhammad Ali, Mosque of Ibn Tulun, Sultan Hassan Mosque, Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaytbay Mosque, Mosque of Qanibay al-Rammah) and the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza. I had a short layover on my way to Canada in Egypt and found the perfect opportunity to do some sightseeing in Old Cairo and Giza and knock off some pictures from the currency project as well! I had a tour guide who took me around a bunch of places in old Cairo (where the majority of the mosques are) and then Giza, where I saw the Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx! A bustling city full of life and history (and a lot of traffic!)
